More About This Training

From the perspective of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), such complaints are often, but not always, part of an underlying lack of security and bond in the relationship caused by the negative cycle between partners.

This workshop will focus specifically on Stage 1 of EFT. Relational and sexual cycles might be different for some couples. It is important to understand how each effect the other and the impact on the couple’s current struggle.

In this workshop you will learn how to do a thorough assessment of both negative relational and sexual cycles and how to skillfully work using EFT interventions with both cycles in order to move couples toward de-escalation.

This workshop will also provide basic overview of attachment theory as it relates to sexuality, and the up-to-date science on sexual models, sexual desire, and sexuality in long-term relationships. Video and case examples will be used to demonstrate the material and experiential exercises will be used to practice EFT skills.
