Meet The San Diego Center EFT Community Steering Committee
Jennine Estes: Committee Chair
Jennine is owner of Estes Therapy, has been helping couples build a solid foundation and improve communication since 2003. She is certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy and is currently a supervisor-in-training for EFT. She has a passion in helping therapists become effective and confident in their EFT couples counseling skills. Jennine created an international campaign called #BeingLOVEDIs. The campaign connects with the community on expressing what being loved means. She gives back to the community by raising money for non-profits in San Diego County. Jennine is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT#47653).
Susan Buckley: Secretary
Susan has completed the 4-day Externship training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). In addition to EFT training, she has also completed a 40-hour domestic violence training and participated in a series of trainings for families of people with Borderline Personality Disorder.
As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Susan strives to create a comfortable environment to provide a neutral, nonjudgmental space in which to process and organize challenges, conflicts, or other difficulties or issues creating blocks in relationships. Jennifer Chappell Marsh: Marketing and Public Relations
Jennifer has been helping individuals and couples and families build healthy, strong relationships for over 10 years. Jennifer is a licensed marriage and family therapist with a masters degree in Counseling Psychology from National University and an undergrad from Ohio University. Her special areas of focus include helping couples improve communication and connection and re-engaging emotionally disconnected partners.
Jennifer is a warm, interactive, down-to-earth Emotionally Focused Therapy Couples Therapy practitioner. In her San Diego Counseling private practice, she takes great care to ensure her clients develop strategies to thrive in their relationships.
Carolyn Gerard, MFT: Hospitality
Carolyn has been licensed since 1985, and is located in downtown San Diego. Specializing in relationship therapy, she has been using Emotionally Focused Therapy since 2008. Because trauma reactions often show up when working with individuals and couples, she has received the EMDR I and II trainings, Dyadic Resourcing, and somatic therapies. Alicia Roth: Facilities/Food Service
Alicia is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, currently practicing in Mission Valley under Jennine Estes MFT #47653. She is passionate about connection, and her primary aim as a therapist is to improve lives through our most important relationships. Alicia has been practicing EFT with her clients as well as working to support other’s growth and understanding of EFT for several years. While in school Alicia founded a committee to support students looking to grow in their knowledge and understanding about EFT. She is currently working towards becoming certified as an EFT therapist and has been involved in several EFT training groups and workshops.
