Core skills training is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of EFT theory and translate it into more effective and deliberate interventions with your couples.
The 4 part series will focus on specific steps of the therapy process model.
Module 1 focuses on assessment and creating a collaborative working alliance, and mapping the negative interactional pattern.
Module 2 focuses on identifying and accessing the underlying attachment based emotions and models of self that prime and drive the negative interactive cycle and how to de-escalate the cycle.
Module 3 begins work in Stage 2 with a focus on Withdrawer Re-engagement.
Module 4 completes Stage 2 with a focus on pursuer softening.
Module 5, when it is offered, is an opportunity for case presentation and deepening experiential practice.
We use didactic instruction, demonstrations from training tapes, live demonstrations with couples and provide opportunities for formal and informal case supervision.
